Congratulations and thank you to all of the participants of the third annual Race4Justice, held Saturday, June 21, 2014 in downtown Toledo. The course for a 5K run and one mile walk took participants through downtown Toledo.
Alison Crocker took first place overall with a time of 17:33. Michael Kubiak won the overall male division with a time of 19:13.
The Race4Justice is coordinated by ABLE and LAWO’s Emerging Leaders Council, a group of attorneys who are the next generation of leaders in the legal community.
It is the role of the Emerging Leaders Council to support the work and mission of Legal Aid through professional development, pro bono participation, and other ways that will raise awareness of these important community resources.
Proceeds from the Race for Justice will help Legal Aid’s Medical Legal Partnership for Children (MLPC) program to serve more children and families.
The MLPC is a partnership among pediatric, obstetric, and mental health providers and poverty law attorneys working to improve the health and well being of underserved children and families in Toledo and Lucas County.
